1957 Perth Proof Penny

Once overlooked, the 1957 brilliant finish proof penny is now finally gaining traction amongst collectors. Officially recognised by PCGS and with a mintage of just 470 coins worldwide, it stands alongside the iconic 1955 and 1956 Perth proof pennies, but at a fraction of the cost. This coin should not be confused with the more common matte proof version, which was struck in 1959 and features a distinctly different surface and strike. With its red designation and low mintage, this coin is on track to become a major Australian numismatic rarity.
