1955 Perth Proof Penny

1955 Perth proof pennies are scarce generally, and very scarce without major impairments. For collectors of the series, you’ll know that mintage of the issue is only 301 pieces, while the number of examples without spotting, fingerprints, or other impairments is lower. The coin photographed above is one of the nicer 1955 Perth proof pennies I’ve seen in recent times. As you can see by the image, it has completely smooth fields, even colour, and lots of eye appeal, and would suit a collector building a superior proof set or high-grade penny proof set. Scarce this nice.
