1934 Proof Florin

A darkly-toned original VIP proof from Fiji. Although its mintage is unknown, it is certainly rarer than some early Australian proof coins, such as the proof Canberra florin or proof 1934 florin. (As an aside, both of these coins sell for three times the price of the Fiji proof.) On the whole, this Fiji proof is an extremely difficult coin to obtain, and is only the second piece we have seen on the market since 2012. Ex-Diana Collection, Baldwin’s Auctions, September 2008.
