1930 Perth Sovereign

While we’ve handled several 1931P sovereigns in PCGS MS65, the coin photographed here is the first 1930P sovereign we’ve offered in that grade. From a north-west Sydney collection, the coin was obtained raw from a Sydney coin dealer over ten years ago, and subsequently graded MS65. To this day, it is still in the top three of all 1930P sovereigns certified by PCGS (6/23), despite 139 examples being graded by them across all grades. The coin itself is flashy, with full cartwheel lustre, clean fields, and an above-average strike.
