Canadian sovereigns are notorious for their low mintage figures. Although the 1911-C sovereign is considered a common date, it is still rarer mintage-wise than most Australian sovereigns, with a low mintage of only 257,000 pieces (compared to the mintage of Australian George V sovereigns of around 5.3 million coins per year).
