Australia, 1911 Sydney Sovereign - Grades PCGS MS64.
By 1911, the Sydney Mint had been manufacturing sovereigns for over fifty years, so the quality of coinage produced by Australia’s first mint was generally very high. This can be seen by the generally high quality of sovereigns made in 1911, and beyond. Usually sharply struck, uncirculated 1911 sovereigns generally grade well, with coins in PCGS MS63 being the minimum the average collector should aim for when assembling a set. Coins in MS64 are scarce, while examples in MS65 are rare.
