1989 Tudor Rose Sovereign

The sovereign photographed above is the very popular 1989 proof “Tudor Rose” sovereign, which celebrates the 500^th anniversary of the original sovereign (a large gold coin issued by Henry VII in 1489). Only 23,471 of these beauties were issued, and fewer survive today in pristine PR69DCAM condition (“DCAM” refers  to the highly reflective fields of modern proof coins). Scarce and popular this nice.
