1857 Sydney Mint Sovereign

It’s been a while since we’ve had the privilege of offering a high-grade early Sydney Mint sovereign. While coins minted after 1860 are generally easy to obtain, earlier dates with lustre have proven to be elusive. The present coin, an 1857, is one of the nicest early Sydney Mints we’ve handled in recent times, and is superior to most of the circulated Sydney Mint sovereigns currently available on the market.
