Australia, 1855 Sydney Mint Sovereign - Grades PCGS XF40.
This is one of the nicer 1855 Sydney Mint Sovereigns I’ve seen in recent times, and one of the few with lustre. The Queen's hair is pretty sharp and detailed too. If it were raw, you’d have no trouble describing the coin as “good Very Fine” or maybe even a baggy “about Extremely Fine” or “almost Extra Fine”. Catalogues $4,000 in Very Fine and $15,000 in Extremely Fine.
