1888 Sydney Sovereign

A-3868A, 1st obverse with small spread JEB. There are two types of 1st obverse 1888-S sovereign. The first type has an angled "J” in the JEB initials (described as IEB in McDonald), while the second type has smaller, more spread out "JEB" initials. The small spread JEB, as photographed above, is the scarcer type. From an old English collection.
