An outstanding and original example of this key Melbourne rarity. With only three examples graded finer by PCGS (10/16), it also ranks highly amongst its peers. The example here is a totally problem-free coin, with cartwheeling lustre, a reasonably good strike, and generally mark-free fields. And with a PCGS MS63+ example selling for US$32,900 (AU$44,000) through public auction in September 2016, the example photographed above looks like a bargain at $25,000. Very scarce this nice.
