1920 Melbourne Sovereign

There are a number of key rarities in the George V sovereign series of coins. While many are priced close to $50,000, a number are still trading for under $10,000 in mint condition. The 1920-M sovereign is one of them. A scarce coin generally, it is particularly rare in Mint State, with a mere twelve examples available in PCGS MS63 or finer (2/22). The example here was sourced from an old Queensland collection, and is one of the nicer examples we’ve handled in recent years.
