1902 Sydney Sovereign

Whilst Edward VII sovereigns are considered mostly common, there are “grade rarities” peppered throughout the series. The present coin, one such grade rarity from 1902, is one of the nicest Edward sovereigns we’ve handled in recent years. The fields are mostly devoid of marks and scratches, while there is fresh lustre on both sides; the coin shines in the hand. Equal-second finest certified by PCGS, with just two other coins available in this grade worldwide (1/25). From an old British collection, and then a Western Australian collection.
