1904 Melbourne Sovereign

The 1904-M Sovereign is a scarce date in Mint State, but is particularly rare in PCGS MS63 or better.  Out of the fourteen 1904-M Sovereigns PCGS has graded, only one has made MS64. NGC has graded a similar number of coins, with only one in MS64 and zero in MS63 (March 2013)! The coin above, graded MS63 by PCGS, is the equal second-finest graded, and free from the heavy bagmarking that is prevalent on later-year Melbourne sovereigns. The new owner will be very happy with it.
