1880 Sydney Half Sovereign with toothed denticles

S-3862D, with toothed or crenulated denticles. A higher-grade example of this rare variety and date, and only the second I’ve seen on the market in this grade since 2010. One of only five examples identified by PCGS, and the second-finest graded by them overall (12/18). A rare coin for the connoisseur half sovereign collector.
