1923 Halfpenny

Whilst lower-grade 1923 halfpennies are relatively common, superior examples are genuine rarities (or “grade rarities”, as collectors say). The present coin, graded AU58 with PCGS, is one of the finest examples we’ve handled, and one of the nicest 1923 halfpennies to hit the market in recent times. Chocolate brown on both sides, with only the lightest of touches on the high points, this rarity will take the keystone position in the next coin collection it joins.
